The Buffalo Bayou Shuttle Service is a proud Houston based company devoted to giving back to Houston. We are extremely excited that the Bayou Preservation Association has asked us to help them by raising awareness of the paddling trails, contribute to the conservation efforts, and hosting a variety of service projects and benefit kayak tours.

The Bayou Preservation Association plays an influential role in protecting, conserving, and promoting all of our wonderful waterways. The Buffalo Bayou Shuttle Service is hosting a benefit kayak tour to help raise funds and awareness of the Bayou Preservation Association. Tour Description:

The Navigators tour provides a different view of Houston. The tour is roughly 2 hours and stretches approximately 6.18 miles from Briar Bend Park to Woodway Memorial Park. Briar Bend Park is one of the best boat launch sites on the Buffalo Bayou when the water height is up.  Besides all the great scenery and landscapes to see, you will have many twists and turns on the Buffalo Bayou. You will have a few small rapids and get to visit the Chimney Rock Bat Colony. The tour will end at Woodway Memorial Park. The tour will be on tandem (2 person) sit on top kayaks. Items to Bring:

We want you to have as much fun as possible on your kayak trip. We also want you to stay safe so we recommend bringing the following:
  • Water to drink during your trip
  • Sunscreen to protect against sunburns
  • A hat to keep the sun's rays off your head and face
  • A camera to take pictures of your trip. (Remember: you will be on the water, and there is a chance you can get your items wet. Please take that into consideration.)
  • A snack to eat either before, during, or after your trip.
  • A smile and a sense of adventure.
  • Changes of getting wet are high. Please dress appropriately.

Cancellation Policy:

  • In order to receive a refund or to reschedule your tour date you must call to cancel at least 1 (one) week before your tour date.
  • ALL TOURS go rain or shine unless the weather is severe. (Do not assume your tour is cancelled)
  • In the event of severe weather we will cancel the tour. You then will have three options.
    • You can receive a refund for the tour.
    • You can reschedule for a different tour.
    • You can accept the cancellation and continue to pledge your $60 towards the Bayou Preservation Association.
